Financial support to continue to fund physician-prescribed compression garments nationally, and to eventually fund lymphedema therapy beyond southwest Florida from all causes, is urgently needed.

Our mission as a community-based volunteer nonprofit organization is to raise awareness of the potential for development of lymphedema, to assure availability of the resources for treatment and to eliminate barriers for those with lymphedema.

Lymphedema Resources, Inc. has established the Lymphedema Garment & Treatment Fund to provide physician-prescribed garments and lymphedema therapy for underserved, uninsured individuals with this affliction.

How We Help

From 2005 to mid-2012, Lymphedema Resources, Inc. has funded physician-prescribed compression garments and lymphedema therapy treatments for 360 clients totaling just under $100,000, primarily through grants.  About 57% funded compression garments and 43% funded lymphedema therapy.

We have received grants from Susan G. Komen for the Cure Southwest Florida for the last eight years to fund compression garments and lymphedema therapy for qualified breast cancer survivors in 5 southwest Florida counties.  We receive many requests from those suffering from lymphedema as a result of various conditions and unable to afford compression garments, from all over the United States. To the extent we have funding available, we work to accommodate qualified clients who have nowhere else to turn for assistance.
